Individual Therapy
I am experienced in many evidence-based therapy modalities, including attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic principles, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused therapy. I combine these and more experimental practices to tailor therapy to your unique needs. These modalities are very effective with people experiencing depression, anxiety, and mood swings.
Parenting and Behavior Problems
My primary goal is to help parents understand, support and manage their child. All children are born with different temperaments and require different approaches. There may be other factors that are contributing to their behavior such as ADHD, emotional/behavioral dysregulation, PTSD, bullying etc.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy only works if each person is committed to the relationship. It is not uncommon for one of the parties to want counseling more than the other. It is important for both to feel that they are heard and that I am neutral.
I believe that we all want to be loved and be special to someone. The focus is to look at what is preventing this from happening. Each person is expected to work on the relationship. One person is never the sole problem.
